Take your first steps into the sport of climbing, or refresh the basics if it’s been a while!
In this course you will learn how to boulder safely, use AutoBelays, and start to learn the basics of roped climbing.
At the end of the course you will be registered as a climber at Glasgow Climbing Centre, so you can return as soon as you like to use the AutoBelays and Bouldering room without needing to book ahead.
You will start to learn the basics of roped climbing, knot tying and belaying in this class, but must complete Level 2 if you wish to be signed off to use the ropes at GCC unsupervised. All equipment is provided for the duration of the course, and you’ll have one week of free entry immediately after the course to come and get climbing!
