⁣Our Kids Classes Are Changing: Here’s What You Need to Know⠀

As of today, we are introducing a more streamlined system that we believe will help all our young climbers progress and learn more effectively.⠀
⠀
We’re confident this will create a more climbing-focused experience that will be easier and more enjoyable to follow.⠀
⠀
⠀
So how does this affect you? ⠀
⠀
The booking process remains exactly the same, but the class names have changed.⠀
⠀
- Kids Introduction (7+) is for first-time climbers or those who were previously in our Edge 1 class. Once we’ve taught the basic skills, such as tying in and belaying with supervision, you’ll graduate to the next level.⠀
⠀
- Edge Club (7+) is for those who were previously in Edge 2 and 3. This is our regular climbers' club, where the NICAS scheme can be offered to those interested in following the program. Otherwise, you can simply come along and climb.⠀
⠀
- Youth Squad (10+) is a new space for young climbers who want to continue climbing. Entry is based on a skills assessment by a certified member of staff.⠀
⠀
- Junior Lead (12+) is for those who were previously in NICAS 4-5. This class is for young climbers who have become proficient in belaying and rope skills. Typically, a coach will recommend you for this class when you're ready to progress to lead climbing after completing Edge Club.⠀
⠀
- Youth Social (13+) is a social club for teenage climbers. NICAS can be delivered here, or you can simply attend for fun. The level of commitment is entirely up to you. If you previously booked the Climbatize class, this is the one for you.

Starting from Monday the 23rd September the team will be open and will run a limited Monday evening menu.⠀

Food will be fully available midweek and the weekends, the team are moving to a 5pm finish rather than 4pm

These are ideal holds for home walls and traverse walls! ⠀
They are ergonomic and comfortable jugs, we also have matching footholds that also would make great crimps for a more advanced home wall.⠀
⠀
All the holds we are selling are dual-fixing, taking a 6mm or 8mm bolt, and all the larger ones have a pinning screw hole. ⠀
⠀
What’s even better, is they are only £3 a hold! What a bargain! ⠀

Women in Adventure, is a series of talks being hel

Women in Adventure, is a series of talks being held on August 16th 2024!

The evening will be hosted by Mollie Hughes, Ocean Vertical Director and two time Everest Summiteer, Mollie will be giving a talk to share her experiences in the outdoors community.
There will also be Iona from Iona Adventuring who will talk about life as an outdoor influencer.
Also welcomed to the stage for a talk will be Charlotte Workman, Creative Director at The Adventure Photographers.

The event is being held as a fundraiser by Ocean Vertical to help raise funds for 35 young women to complete a life changing trekking and guide training program!
The Programme is run by Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN), and is a cause we would like to support.

With a specially curated menu by a team of amazingly talented chef’s around a theme, and a unique setting overlooking the climbing centre they are a must-do event in Glasgow. ⠀

This time the theme is Ibiza, and it’s being held on 27th July! The menu is ready and the spaces are extremely limited so you should really head over to our website (linked in bio) for all the information and grab a spot before they are gone! ⠀

We can’t recommend it enough, the vibe is very cool, and it’s on a Saturday night, priced at a very reasonable £47pp with BYOB it’s a really good way to experience some amazing flavours!
