A nostalgic day at GCC, we recently celebrated the A nostalgic day at GCC, we recently celebrated the retirement of Willie Gorman. Willie has been bringing groups to GCC since 1994, he has a single digit membership number and has been a GCC instructor for 18 years. There cannot be many individuals who have introduced more people into the sport of climbing than Willie has in his lifetime. He has and continues to be, an enormous contributor to the Sottish climbing community. We at GCC have been incredibly fortunate and forever grateful to be part of his instructing journey. We managed to get a few old faces back for a retirement lunch to say a huge thankyou for everything Willie has done over the years. Even though Willie has retired from instructing and coaching, he is still climbing a couple of times a week, so you will still bump into him making hard routes look easy.
